SURVIVOR 28 EP.7 RECAP: “You can’t even tell if she’s a pillow or a person”

Image

Hey guys, welcome to another recap of our mostest most favourite show, Survivor!

The episode starts with Spencer going at it with Kass. Yeah, I’m team Spence on this one guys. Kass plays too emotionally for my liking. “She’ll go wherever her estrogen takes her” Hilarious! (Seriously, the one-liners this season is top notch! That’s why my titles are mostly quotes 🙂 ) Kass thinks that although she pissed off 5 people, she gained 5 friends. Really? C’mon Kass, those 5 “friends” don’t even trust you after seeing you easily flip on your alliance. She may go to final 3, but she will not win. Mark my words folks.

Reward Challenge looks amazing. There’s a net see-saw! I mean, you can’t go wrong with a net see-saw! After a brilliant job at the puzzle, LJ’s team wins the Outback Steakhouse reward. Yet another reward making me instantly hungry. That steak though!! When Spencer finally decides to use his napkin, out falls a note. YES!!! There’s hope for our favourite nerd.

Post Outback Steakhouse, and Spencer is quickly on his feet to find that immunity idol. Noticing his weird timing to “take a walk”, Ninja A.K.A Woo, follows him. He finds Spencer digging through a side of a wall, obviously looking for an idol. Spencer somehow forgets about his clue unattended at the bank of the river, so Woo picks it up and bolts. Woo rallies his alliance to help him find it, and Spencer has no other option but to rally his mates as well. Thus, the #madtreasurehunt begins. Even Morgan is in this, which according to Tony is a big deal because “you can’t even tell if she’s a pillow or a person.” Massive LOL moment. After distracting Kass, Spencer (thank goodness) finds the idol.

Image

The immunity looks awesome. They have to be on their tippy toes while balancing a wooden block on their heads. Woo is definitely going to win right? Those martial arts training have obviously helped him in Survivor. However, moments later Woo surprisingly drops the wooden block and he’s out. It comes down to Tasha, who is a ROCK, and Spencer. In a shocking upset, Spencer wins immunity!

Spencer is safe for tonight after winning the immunity challenge, plus he has an idol in his pocket. But, he still needs to do whatever he can to save his numbers. He goes to Kass and pitches the idea to blindside Tony. Kass is open to suggestion, but she’s still bitter about Spencer lashing her after last tribal council, and she hates Morgan.

At tribal council Morgan is under fire by Jeff saying she is used to having her way back home. Let’s not forget that awesome one-liner “if any person in the world could choose to be ugly or cute, most would pick cute.” Oh Morgan, entertaining for sure.

Now we get to voting.

With a vote of 6-4, Morgan is out. Bummer. I’m going to miss her awesome confessionals, and… other things…. But at least she’s in the jury!

SURVIVOR 28 EP.6 RECAP “#CHAOSKASS “

Image

WOW!! That was one awesome episode. Survivor delivers once again folks!

We start off with the Aparri tribe looking tight as ever. But, the next morning Kass feels like she can’t trust Sarah, so she tells her. Bad move Kass, why create cracks in your alliance?

Cue the epic music! It’s time for the merge. It comes with a note that reads “A hidden immunity idol with special powers is hidden near your camp.” Uhh… that sounds horrible! Special powers? Please don’t tell me it’s that idol where you are allowed to play it AFTER the votes are read. If so, the producers made a disgusting decision. That’s not the Survivor we know and love. But, time will tell.

Now of course, Sarah is the swing vote. There’s 5 strong Aparri vs 5 strong Solana. She is in the “best” position, but I disagree with her when she said that she is the decision maker. Yes, you are in a strong spot, but why not let the 2 tribes choose who to vote out, AND THEN decide which one would benefit your game. As she talks to Jeremiah and Kass, she absolutely insists on voting out LJ or Tony and not Trish. Wow calm down there tiger, let’s not get cocky now Sarah.

You know who else needs to calm down? Kass. Seriously Kass, don’t pick a fight with your alliance member! Just bite your tongue for at least 1 or 2 tribal councils. You don’t always have to be Queen Bee. Therapist Tasha had to calm the cat fight. She definitely has the only level head at this moment. She knows she needs Sarah’s vote and that’s why she’s taking her side. Get on it Kass! It’s like these women are on their periods -.-

Finally we get to the immunity challengeMan I love this challenge, but where’s the food temptations Jeff? First foothold, everyone is good. Second foothold, everyone is still good. But when they get to the top… boy they dropped like hot potatoes. Within seconds, Spencer, Kass, LJ, Sarah, Jefra, Tasha, Trish, Jeremiah is out. After a big gust of wind, Morgan falls off. Tony and Woo left. In the end, our martial arts master wins it. First individual immunity necklace goes to Woo! Here’s a GIF of him forever balancing for your enjoyment. 🙂

Image

Back at camp, we see that Trish has game! Where did this come from!? She offers Kass to join them and to vote out Sarah. Brilliant. If it works.

Tribal Council time! This was an epic tribal council. Tony takes out his idol and shows everyone (cocky much?). At this moment we see the panic in the Aparri tribe as they tell each other “the other one”, on the other hand the Solana tribe is saying to vote the “same”. So intense!

Before the votes are read, Tony plays his idol to save LJ (it’s a community idol after all). But wait! Sensing that Tony may also be in danger, LJ plays his idol for Tony! That’s a bold move.

However, Jeff first reads out “JEFRA”. Solana is stunned. They may have played and wasted their 2 immunity idols! 5 votes Sarah and 5 votes Jefra. One vote left.

“SARAH”

WHAT. THE. HECK. Kass flipped! #chaoskass strikes again.

__

I give this episode a 9/10. Who DIDN’T like the episode? I love those crazy, unpredictable tribal councils. And this one was amazing!

Predictions: I feel like Tony will find the special hidden immunity idol, just because he’s a cop. I have a strong feeling that Spencer is the next to go. Why? Kass flipped, leaving him with only Tasha, Morgan and Jeremiah. Spencer and Tasha are also seen as tighter compared to Morgan and Jeremiah. Plus Spencer is a challenge threat. It’s going to be a sad episode to watch folks.

As we wait another week for another incredible episode, here’s a screencap of Jefra looking absolutely adorable on the brink of getting voted out. Anyone else reminded of Puss in Boots? Kawaii! 😀

I can’t wait to see other peoples thoughts on this episode. Make sure to leave a comment! Hate is very much welcomed too 🙂

SURVIVOR 28 EP.5 RECAP “I’M REALLY A MAN”

Image

Yet another episode of Survivor, and this one was insane!

We start with the new Solana tribe at camp after the blindside of big ol’ Cliff. Things get crazyyyyyy at this point. A good kind of crazy! But I gotta say, I was on Lindsey’s side here (for a bit). I felt like slapping Trish when she said “Now ask me if I care.” What a bitch. BUT THEN, Lindsey decides to quit. WHAT. THE. HECK. I would absolutely love to be on Survivor and you quit because your plan didn’t go as expected?? “…when I walk away from this beach… is gonna be my lowest point.” THEN DON’T! I don’t understand this at all. If she stayed, I don’t think she would have gone home next anyway (assuming that the merge doesn’t happen), because Woo is more of a threat going into the merge. Lindsey does seem really kind and good-hearted, so I hope she doesn’t get too much hate for this… well…. maybe a little bit would satisfy me.

I love this Reward Challenge. It’s quick and intense (that’s what she said). The best strategy would be to toss your idol as high as you can and quickly whack your opponent’s idol to the ground so it lands before yours; just as they did in Survivor Philippines. This strategy is obviously best done when your close enough to your opponent. However, I didn’t see anyone use this strategy, which kinda made the whole challenge boring. Woo does martial arts, so I assumed he would be good at this challenge. Lucky he redeemed himself at the last round. The reward for this challenge was boring as well, BUT Tony made it interesting.

He decides (Woo was just there for the ride) to put a target on Jeremiah’s back. And to do this, he tells everyone that he is giving Jeremiah the clue to the hidden immunity idol. Which wasn’t even a clue for the Appari tribe. Tony may be stupid looking, but he is definitely not stupid at Survivor.

Okay now we get to the weirdest part of  the episode. “I’m really a man.”…….WTF Trish. This was actually believable and I was shocked for a minute. This woman is seriously nuts! And yes guys, she’s a woman.

How awesome did this Immunity Challenge look. It was so cool! Would love to have done that challenge, although I would suck at the end puzzle. The challenge starts and both tribes are neck and neck to every part of the challenge. That slide would have sucked to slide on, it looked so painful. At the end, LJ wins it for Solana. Oh, and Woo, but he was just there for the ride again.

Let’s not forget Tony’s blunder shall we. Now he looks stupid. If he was smart, then the only reason that he would rub “top five baby!” into the Appari tribe, is to save Sarah. With him shouting that, it helps Sarah’s game as she can  easily say to her tribe that she doesn’t have a connection with them. Which she does later. But I’m doubtful Tony is that smart.

Going into Tribal Council, we have two people in trouble: Jeremiah and Alexis. Jeremiah, because Tony gave him the immunity idol and looks as if he would flip to them when the merge comes. Or Alexis, because she seems fake and has connections with LJ and Jefra.

At the end, Alexis is blindsided in a unanimous vote. This broke my heart. Just when I became an Alexis fan 😦 I didn’t even know she was a huge super fan of Survivor, but that added to it as well. Plus, it sucks to see good people cry when they are blindsided.

Image

It makes my blood boil to know that Lindsey quit so easily when her best mate left, and we see Alexis cry because she wanted to do so well and at least make the merge. Ugh this sucks!

__

I give this episode a 7/10 because this was so frustrating to watch. We have the worst quitter in Survivor history in Lindsey. And Alexis is voted out! Noooo!!!

Predictions: Sarah is going to flip back to Tony. I mean, all Tony has to do is to remind her of their blue badge promise. I hope she doesn’t though. If she does, then Spencer is in trouble. After Alexis going home this week, Spencer better not go home next week!

As we wait for that beautiful merge episode, here’s a screencap of Trish. Just because I don’t like her very much. And her mouth looks like a horse’s mouth. #sorrynotsorryImage

SURVIVOR 28 EP.4 RECAP “NO ONE WANTS TO SEE TRISH, TWERK”

Image

Ahhh once again, we had our weekly dose of the best show on TV, ARROW! Just kidding, SURVIVOR!!

Coming back from an epic tribe council, Kass and Tasha are not regretting their decision to keep Spencer. Although, Kass is still wanting that data on how the Brain tribe was formed, “We’re not the Brain tribe, we’re the crap-for-brains tribe.”

We get to the reward challenge and Jeff says “drop you buffs.” SHOCKER! “Brawn, Brain and Beauty is no more.” About time right?! I would’ve been be so pissed if the Brain trio lost again. So lets break up the new tribes. New Aparri: Sarah, Spencer, Morgan, Kass, Tasha, Jeremiah and Alexis. There are 3 former brains, and 3 former beauties and Sarah. I really don’t think Sarah is in trouble, although she’s the odd one out. It’ll be unlikely that 6 people will come together to vote her out. Plus, she’s the swing vote, which I believe is a good position during pre-merge. New Solana: Woo, Cliff, Trish, Jefra, LJ, Lindsey and Tony. With 2 former beauties and 5 former brawns, it’s obvious that the brawns will be gunning for LJ.

This reward challenge is a classic and I’ve always loved the wrestling-type challenges. Challenge started off great! I love girl on girl action haha! It got real when Lindsey wrapped her leg on Morgan’s throat. #ouch! Lindsey fought them off well, but it wasn’t enough, Jefra and Trish had nothing on Tasha. Next round Cliff is on the pole vs… ALEXIS?! How did this happen?? So unfair.

Image

That looked brutal. Next round is the same story, Cliff would not budge whatsoever. I found his arrogant laugh in the background really annoying, or maybe I’m just  turning into an Alexis fan. I do love her reaction to everything 😀 So the new Solana tribe wins desserts and coffee, lucky I wasn’t hungry during this…

♪ LJ and Trish, sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G ♪ Wow that whole scene was weird. Added with Trish’s exhausted-like laugh and twerking? What the heck is going on (Lindsey’s impersonation of Trish was hilarious btw). But, we later find out that Trish is playing the game. She wants to side with Jefra and LJ and Tony to get Cliff out. Yikes!

On Aparri, Sarah outs Morgan on the rice and hidden immunity idol situation. Man this girl is smart. It causes Alexis to want to jump ship straight away. Holy smokes, Alexis is ballsy. We also find out that Jeremiah is ready to flip to the brains as well! This puts the brains in a really good spot.

Immunity challenge time! Jeff gets rid of the little brother and keeps mama… or daddy, yeah I’m not sure too Jeff. Aparri’s inability to choose who will play on the challenge leaves me to think that it was foreshadowing that they will lose this one. They start off weak with the ladies slowing them down at the front. Solana on the other hand breezes through it, but they need to make bigger holes on the wall so the big man Cliff can get through. With Aparri’s change of strategy, they catch up and are neck and neck with Solana at the puzzle. In the end, the former brains take charge of the puzzle and wins it for the tribe, leaving Tony wondering “how did that happen?

Did anyone else finds this slightly sexual?…

sexual penis pencil

Fortunately for LJ, he has the hidden immunity idol which he can play if he needs to at tribal council. But he still makes an effort to connect with Trish. Meanwhile, Cliff is very vocal about wanting to get LJ out and Woo assures Lindsey that Trish is not going to matter anyway, they have 4 solid votes against LJ. Trish tries to convince Tony that Cliff is first to go and “dingaling” (Linsdey) is next, however Tony doesn’t trust LJ. He’s got no reason to.

Finally tribal council comes and Jeff fires questions at everybody. “Numbers are only important if their also gonna work for you. If not, then maybe you need to make arrangements for yourself” wow, way to make it NOT obvious at all Trish. As soon as Tony says, “are we gonna move forward as a team? Or step backwards and move to another team.” I was worried for LJ. That was a clear indicator!

After they vote, Jeff asks if anyone wants to play an immunity idol. I’m thinking to myself “LJ, PLAY IT YOU DUMBASS!” But he doesn’t. He’s a goner.

Its 3 votes LJ and 3 votes Cliff. It’s up to Tony’s vote and it reads …”CLIFF”.

Image

Their reaction says it all.

__

Predictions: The preview suggests that Lindsey is going to quit. No way. She’s not going to quit, nu-uh. I have a feeling that Solana will go to tribal council again. And who is in the outs? Woo and Lindsey. Who’s the bigger threat? Woo.

As we wait another week (noooooo!) for Survivor I”l leave you with Lindsey’s funny impersonation of Trish. Accurate?

SURVIVOR 28 EP.3 RECAP “SO ARE THEY, LIKE, A-SEXUAL?”

Image

It’s that time again folks! My favourite day of the week.

Holy freaking moly, this episode was intense! It just keeps getting better and better. Let’s start off with the Beauty tribe coming back from voting out Brice, Morgan (his friend) is at the bottom and it’s plain as day. So she calls out Jeremiah on betraying her and Brice in front of the tribe. Smart girl. In doing so, she successfully planted seeds into others’ head. A woman scorned shall not be underestimated. She is there to fight till the bitter end! You go Glen Coco!

Reward Challenge? What’s a reward challenge? Kidding. Ugh, finally! I honestly don’t even remember the last time they separated the reward and the immunity challenge. The challenge was a survivor classic and it certainly is the most hilarious (yet frustrating) challenge to watch. It was definitely humorous when LJ kept hitting his crotch on the obstacles, although as a fellow male, it was hard to watch. #Ouch. It wasn’t just LJ, Spencer hit his crotch a couple of times too, Lindsey was nearly KO’d by the post and Kass tackled a barrel!

Beauty tribe finishes first (which is not a surprise – they have good communication skills!) and the “Brains” are coming in second…. well that’s if they get their flag up to Tasha… Oh. My. Fricken. Goodness. J’Tia absolutely SUCKS at challenges! She starts to panic and doesn’t know where and how to place a simple flag unto a platform. This drove me insane! FEEL AROUND!!! How hard is it to feel for the middle of the platform?! Your other hand is on it!!

Brawn then hoists their flag just in time to win second place. Credit to them for getting their sh*t together at the most crucial points. For that miraculous comeback, they win a dozen eggs! Wait what? Just twelve eggs? That’s nothing! Oh well congrats anyway Brawns, a well-deserved 12 egg victory. The Beauties take home 3 egg laying hens and a rooster.

“So are they, like, a-sexual?” Are you serious Alexis? “We all know the egg came first, because the dinosaurs had eggs, they were before the chickens.” Are you serious LJ? This is so stereotypical of the Beauty tribe. Gotta love them.

Speaking of love, where is the B-Ball love Woo? Due to Tony’s little white lie, Sarah wants to throw the immunity challenge in order to vote Cliff out. Not cool Sarah!  You should know that a tribe swap/switch-up is around the corner, and that’s when you need numbers.  It was very surprising that Woo was ready to flip on Cliff. This makes my predictions sound so dumb. Woo is right that Cliff has a huge bank roll already. But that’s another reason to keep him around Woo!

Immunity Challenge time and this challenge got my emotions through the roof! With Woo, Trish and Sarah wanting to throw the challenge Beauty and Brain should be safe. They start by diving down to retrieve 5 buoys which will then be thrown into a basket. As expected Trish and Sarah try to lose the challenge, but on the other side, the Brains are doing so horrible that it’s actually hard for the Brawns to lose! Jeremiah makes 5 perfect shots at the basket which makes the Beauties safe from tribal council. With a pathetic challenge liability J’Tia, an angry but determined Spencer, and a pro basket player Cliff, we have an epic scream-worthy challenge. But in the end, the Brains lose once again. Without a doubt, they deserved to lose that challenge.

Back at camp, Kass and Tasha have some A LOT of trouble deciding who to vote out. They STILL didn’t fully decide ’til tribal council! Jeff first gives them the silent treatment, Jeff must feel so disappointed at this so-called “Brain tribe”. As Spencer answers Jeff, Tasha and Kass are still at it! Jeff pounces onto this and calls them out. I love all the fan references they did by the way, because this was totally awesome to watch. Finally we get to the vote, and it shows that winning challenges is more important than loyalty. J’Tia has her torched snuffed and Spencer is safe for another episode. Phew! That was close.

I give this episode an 8.5/10. Finally a reward challenge! Also, this episode was intense to watch. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. The challenges nearly made my head explode, and my mouth was wide open from shock during tribal council.

Predictions: Okay, my predictions sucked last week. Let’s hope I redeem myself this week. I highly doubt they’ll merge 4 episodes into the season, they’ll most likely be separated into 2 tribes (which was what happened in All-Stars and Philippines). Without knowing who’s in which tribe, predicting who’ll be going out is hard. But if I had to, I’d say it’s (unfortunately) Spencer. Reason being is that the brains do not have numbers any shape or form coming into this tribe switch up. And who in the remaining Brain tribe is perceived to be the most threatening? Spencer.

As we wait for the next episode, here’s a screencap tribute to LJ’s poor cajones. May they rest in piece.

SURVIVOR 28 EP.2 RECAP “DOT DOT DOT, HMM!”

Image

Yet another episode of our favourite show kids!

We start off with the brain tribe returning from blindsiding Garret. Tasha, as she wanted, is now top dog. Congrats Tasha, risky moves are rewarded in survivor. The girls then agree that Spencer would be next to go. I was cut while watching that, Spencer is actually the only person that I like in that tribe. But, I just have a feeling that he’s going to atleast make it to the merge.

In the Brawn tribe, Tony shows us that he is here to play the game. I love it. This episode kinda returns some of my respect for Tony, after that whole “spyshack” whammy. Sarah buys everything he says as she strongly believes in blue blood. Good job Tony! But wait, he’s not done yet folks! He’s got another trick up his sleeve. He tells Sarah a whole fake story about Lindsey and Cliff ‘gunning’ for her. You might have crossed the line there Tony. Sarah might just go talk to Cliff or Lindsey… and if they heavily deny Tony’s lie and Sarah believes them… shits going down!

Nek minit, mother nature becomes a bitch (which is totally awesome) and brings rain and huge winds to the tribes’ camps. Heck yes, this is the torture I was waiting for. More more more! Then it stops there… BOOOOOO! And I want REAL crying, not cute crying (yeah I’m talking to you Jefra). While the rest of the beauties huddle up, LJ walks off to find the immunity idol. LJ is definitely the one to watch in this tribe, he could be (like Garrett) “Divergent“. How did he even find that idol? That wasn’t a very typical hidden immunity idol location. Good job to the survivor crew for changing it up!

Now we come to my favourite part of the episode, the brain tribe practising for the challenge ofcourse! Tasha insists on practising for the challenge, but hold on Tasha, Spencer has to drink water first. You may be the most tolerable to watch on the tribe, but c’mon Spencer, drinking water only takes 5 seconds, now go practice your butt off! This part was hilarious, they all looked so determined to do well with their little coconut  shells as they splash each others faces. Lets not forget that cheesy background music!

Brains are  prepared and hungry for a win in this immunity challenge. But as usual, they do horrible! Biggest facepalm when they pass the water to another persons bucket – and mist comes out. Brawn and Beauty quickly gets to the puzzle segment. But Beauty has some trouble with it! In no time, Cliff and Woo-tang (Batman and Robin) finishes the puzzle. Brains finally catch up, and in a surprising turnaround they do not come in last place! They cry and hug each other, which kinda reminds of  the ‘Ozzie-Sundra-Yul-and-Becky’ underdog tribe back in Cook Islands (season 13).

Beauty now has to vote out one of their own. Jeremiah is quickly put in the spot where he can go both ways – Morgan and Brice or LJ, Jeffra and Alexis. This is where the episode kinda got boring.

Blah blah blah and FINALLY tribal council time! The edit quickly emphasises Brice being weird, that butterfly story was pretty funny though. It then shifts to close ups of Alexis’ big eyed, paranoid face. Brice or Alexis? Which one is it going to be Jeremiah?

Jeff reads the votes and its a re-vote! Now we see where Jeremiah’s loyalties lie. Jeff then reads the votes again, sorry Brice, you are the 3rd person voted off Survivor Cagayan. To be honest, I’m kinda bummed that Brice left. Not just because I’m going to miss his purple pants, but because he had great potential too 😦 Plus, his confessionals was hilarious! Going into this season, I was convinced that Brice would be in the final 3.

I give this episode a 8/10. Brains finally won, some humorous moments, but there was also a minute of “I don’t care anymore, get to the tribal council” moment. Plus, one of my predicted final 3 went home!

Predictions: Judging by the preview it looks to me as if Sarah reeaallly wants someone out! My bet is that it’s Tony, she must’ve caught on to his lies and his immunity idol. They go tribal council and Tony is blindsided with the idol in his pocket.  If it is Cliff, why would she go to Woo? Batman and Robin are tight!

As we wait another week for the next episode, i’ll leave you with a cute screencap of Jefra crying 🙂 Kawaii!Image
